Return & Refund Policy

Thank you for shopping at ephraim-unuigbe.com. We want every reader to be delighted with their order. If something isn't right, this policy explains how returns, refunds and exchanges work for books purchased directly from us.
1. Eligibility
You may request a return on a paperback or hardcover book within 14 days of delivery, provided the book is:
- In its original, unused and resalable condition;
- Free from writing, highlighting, creased pages, broken spines or damaged covers;
- Accompanied by proof of purchase (order number or receipt).
2. Non-returnable items
The following items cannot be returned or refunded:
- eBooks and digital downloads — once the download link has been sent or accessed, the sale is final.
- Free items received as part of a promotion.
- Books returned more than 14 days after delivery, or returned without prior authorisation.
- Books that show signs of use, reading wear, or damage caused after delivery.
3. Damaged or defective books
If your order arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, please email info@ephraim-unuigbe.com within 7 days of delivery with:
- Your order number;
- A short description of the issue;
- Clear photos of the damaged book and the outer packaging.
We'll send a free replacement where stock is available, or issue a full refund — including original shipping — at no cost to you.
4. How to start a return
- Email info@ephraim-unuigbe.com with the subject line "Return Request — [Order #]".
- We'll reply within 2 business days with a Return Authorisation and the return address.
- Pack the book securely (original packaging if possible) and ship it back using a tracked service.
Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility, except where the book arrived damaged, defective or incorrect. We recommend using a tracked or insured service — we cannot process a refund for items that don't reach us.
5. Refund timelines
Once your return is received and inspected (usually within 3 business days of arrival), we'll email you to confirm the outcome. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take an additional billing cycle for the refund to appear on your statement.
Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (damaged, defective or incorrect item).
6. Exchanges
We're happy to exchange a book for a different title of equal value, subject to stock. Email info@ephraim-unuigbe.com to arrange. If the new title costs more, we'll send a secure payment link for the difference; if less, we'll refund the balance.
7. Late or missing refunds
If you haven't received a confirmed refund after 10 business days, please first re-check your bank account, then contact your card issuer. If the issue persists, email info@ephraim-unuigbe.com and we'll help resolve it.
8. Cancellations
Orders can be cancelled for a full refund any time before they are dispatched. Once a parcel has shipped, the standard return process above applies.

This policy applies only to purchases made directly through ephraim-unuigbe.com. Books bought through third-party retailers (e.g. Amazon, bookstores) are subject to that retailer's return policy.
